Objectives and Activities
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document |
Para 1.17 | To establish and run a village hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Dymchurch in the county of Kent and the **surrounding parishes. ** |
| Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts. |
Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
For most of the period the Hall could not be used by local residents due to the government’s covid restrictions. However the Pre-School was able to continue as it was exempt for these restrictions. In the later part of the period we were able to re-start some of our other regular groups following a covid risk assessment. As a consequence, income from Lettings was reduced, however government grants of over £18,000 relieved any financial pressure and left us in a good position to fully resume normal operation when conditions allow. |
| Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit |
