Objects. Statutory Declaration on Public Benefit. The Trusiees declare that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission in exercising their power5 or duties. Executive Summary. Since the opening of the ntre it has grown in the number of groups now supporting the residents and in the number of residents coming to the centre. Trustees are providing a more friendly outside space with the arrival of outdoor seating. garden planters and a marquee in early 2022. 3 new trustees have been identtfied and will be fomially announced in 2022. Following the reopening of the centre due to the pandemic trustees have consolidated the centre usage and have put in pla plans for an expansion of user groups and use of the ntre for 2022 which is expected to achieve more involvement frorn the community of the Estate. Activities. Achievements & Performan. The regular activities have been consolidated followin8 Itfting of restrictions of covid-19 and trustees have purchased, outdoor seating which have been well used and received, garden planters and a retractable canopy which will be set up early in 2022. A small increase in numbers using the centre by all groups has been noticed which is welcome following the reopening of the centre. We continue to encourage users to become volunteers in the activities they are involved in and this encouragement will continue. Three new trustees have been indentified and will officialty take office in 2022. The lifting of restrittions was welcomed by the tommunity and whilst trustee5 hove con501id3ted the activity in the centre and with the improvements made and planned we anticipate more use of the centre will be seen in 2022. Financial Review. ststement of the Charitys Policy on Reserves. The Trustees continue to maintain a F)olicy of free reser¥es in unrestricted funds at a level which equates to approximately 12 months of unrestrirted charitable expenditure. This ensures that trustees can undertake any expenditure to maintain the premises and repla any items. The Trustees COnfin that there are no funds in deficit as Outlined in the statements of assets & Trustees have continued to ensure the Centre 15 financially secure. Fundin8 for the Centre continues to come from donations. grants and fund raising.
Designated funds. An amount of £200 is held for Bir0 Buddies hekl on a fortnightly cycle. £llJJ is held from Tuck shop sales and £3(XJO is set aside for repairs and maintenance costs forthe Centre The weekly Lunch Club is allocated £2CIJO. Particulars of any outstsnding debt I guardntees given by the Charity. This provision of guarantees continue to be met as outlined in previous reports. The Trustees declare that the are no outstanding debts which are secured to any assets of the charity as at the date of the latest assets & liabilities statement. Declaration.
