ANNUAL REPORT 2024 (Jan 2024 to Dec 2024)
2024 – Amazing Support
When this iteration of BCCC was created in 2017, we agreed with the Charities Commission to absorb the history of previous iterations of this charity. Research confirmed that “The Shared Parenting Contact Centre” opened on 4[th] May 1996, later changing its name to Birmingham Child Contact centre in 2011. We will celebrate our 30[th] anniversary with an event planned for 9[th] May 2026.
Building on 2023 achievements, 2024 saw further increases in children and families who have been supported to enjoy the company of parents or family members who they cannot meet at any other times. BCCC’s success has also led to waiting lists, cementing its important place within the community.
We have received the first of our new three-year grant Session volunteer numbers have increased, finance and Content skills were also added. We salute and appreciate their continued enthusiasm, knowledge and contribution. External training for Safeguarding, abuse and other subjects was also delivered.
BCCC’s ICT plans continue at pace, a number will come to fruition in 2025, releasing much valued time and resources to concentrate on core activities.
2025 is a pivotal year where several projects come to fruition enhancing BCCC’s service.
