Activities
CEOBS monitors and collects data on the impact of armed conflicts and military activities on the environment, human health and livelihoods. We work with a range of stakeholders to research and develop tools to allow those affected by conflicts to collect environmental and health data, and monitor the state of legal protection for the environment in relation to armed conflicts.
Objects: To Promote For The Public Benefit The Protection Of Individuals, Communities And Ecosystems From The Effects Ofenvironmental Damage Related To Armed Conflicts And Military Activities.these Objectives Will Be Fulfilled By Undertaking The Following Activities:1. By Monitoring And Collecting Data On The Environmental And Derived Humanitarian Consequences Of Armedconflicts And Military Activities,2. By Developing Tools And Undertaking Capacity Building Activities To Enable Relevant Stakeholders To Undertakesuch Monitoring And Data Collection,3. By Educating The Public, Decision Makers, Policy Makers, Researchers, Civil Society And The National Andinternational Media About The Environmental And Derived Humanitarian Consequences Of Armed Conflicts Andmilitary Activities,4. Contributing To The Sound Administration Of Legislation And Commenting On Proposed Legislation.5. By Undertaking Relevant Activities In These Fields In Partnership With Other Organisations Sharing A Similarpurpose, Where The Trustees Have Determined That This Is In Keeping With The Cio’s Objects.in Furtherance Of That Object But Not Otherwise, The Trustees Shall Have Power To Engage In Political Activityprovided That The Trustees Are Satisfied That The Proposed Activities Will Further The Purposes Of The Charity To Anextent Justified By The Resources Committed And The Activity Is Not The Dominant Means By Which The Charitycarried Out Its Objects.
