KOAC currently consists of 7 trustees, the roles currently held are as follows: Additional governance issues Chairman – Ben Banks Secretary – Lucie Banks Treasurer – Daniel Bowen The titles of these do not give them any further voting rights or powers over any other member. All voting rights are equal amongst members. All voting including what constitutes a majority and how many votes are needed to pass a motion can be found in the charities governing document.

Section C Objectives and activities

The first half of the year was very much a cautious approach from the charity with its activities given the previous year’s issues with Covid-19 and having only recently come out of the second lock down. This coupled with the uncertainty of how Covid would affect our applicants meant we maintained a cautious approach to spending and fund raising. KOAC did very little by way of events or large fundraising projects as we agreed to take this cautious approach and focus on trying to send more applicants away given that more venues were getting back to normal. Section D Achievements and performance With the focus on aiming to get back to helping as many people as we could Summary of the main again in the second half of the year, we were really pleased to be able to get achievements of the charity back to what we deemed a successful level given what had gone on with Covid. during the year Previous years had looked like this: 2019 – 2020 (pre-Covid) Applications – 34 Applicants Helped – 16 2020 – 2021 (Covid) Applications – 2 Applicants Helped – 1 2021 – 2022 Applications – 6 Applicants Helped – 13 The numbers included applicants from previous years that we had not been able to help due to lockdowns and Coronavirus. We went back through all our applications to contact all applicants to try and move things forward again. Given that 19/20 was a record year for us in terms of helping people, we were delighted to be able to get to help the numbers we did. We saw an increase in fundraising on our behalf and also tried running a raffle through an online platform to see if we could out up a prize and sell tickets to raise funds. The 12 days of Christmas was once again a huge success, raising £2688 We do anticipate little growth in the following year as the effects of applications during Covid and the lack of marketing/promotion from KOAC during this time kicks in.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves	The board of Trustees unanimously voted to amend our policy and to increase our reserve holding to £1,500 on 17thOctober 2020. This was forecasted to be the running cost of the charity for a year.

NOTE.The COVID-19 pandemic also resulted in an increase in the amount of money the charity is currently holding as lockdown has resulted in limited opportunities to send families on experiences, this will be reviewed ongoingly as and when there are updates with thepandemic.
