During the year, the Charity's volunteers answered over 13,000 calls and 2,500 en)ails and provided over 4,000 hours Ell direct supporl in each c&se thead of p¢rformance in the previous year. The Charity ren1alt￿ in a good position to continue to provide noD-judgemental supwrt to those in need throughout the ren￿1nder of 2024 and beyond. Financial revlew An excess of exp¢nditure over income of £1,774 was recorda in the year ended 31 March 2024 as received in the previous year w¢r¢ spent and a loan was repaid to its subsidiary. Income overall decreased to £74,851 cowared to £86,246 the previous year during which its financially suc¢essfv] Anniversary Ball was held. Volunteer5 claimed OV￿ £31,000 in travel expenses and then donated them back to the branch enabling gift aid to be claimed on those amounts.
