Appointed by Existing Trustees
In January 2020, the new Community Hall extension was opened and
the whole building was registered for holding Solemnised Weddings
between Heterosexual Couples.
Working alongside Priors Park Neighbourhood Project and Heart of
Priors Park, we set up and ran Priors Park Community Response as
part of Tewkesbury Community Response providing food for those
self-isolating during the Covid 19 Pandemic. We also did shopping
trips and collection of prescriptions and responded to any need that
arose.
As a result we set up The Hub @TheChapel, a Community Response
group and obtained Local Government and National Lottery funding
to assist in covering the cost of meeting the needs of the community.
We worked in close liaison with Christians Against Poverty,
Tewkesbury Food Bank, Tewkesbury Town Council, Bromford
Housing and Tewkesbury Borough Council.
During the Covid 19 pandemic, we worked in close liaison with
Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Covid Officer to provide care for the
community in the safest way possible, providing Risk Assessments
and Method Statements to deal with the challenges we faced.
The Hub team underwent training for the running of projects funded
by grants.
