Summary
ofthe main
achievements
ofthe charity
during the year
Because ofCovid and therefore
smaller than normal usage there has not
been a lot of updating
ofthe interior. The main
hall floor though
is being
resealed
this coming October half term.
As mentioned
earlier a lot oftime and effort has been spent on the plans
for the proposed centre extension. We now have the lease for the parcel
ofland for the extension
and the Trustees have formed a partnership
with
Blair Gratton Architect's as our partner,
initially to develop afeasibility
study as to what sort of building
could ht within this land to the west ofour
current
building.
Planning
permission
from the Derby City Council
Planning
department
has recently been granted.
Another project embarked
upon is that we have obtained the lease from
the Council ofa disused and overgrown
public convenience.
We plan to
transform
the 70sq. mt. area into a Community
garden
with flower beds,
planters,
seating, community
information
board and access for
wheelchair
users. We have some S106monies earmarked
towards this
and aVeolia Environmental
Trust grant is also being targeted
by us. This
project is also approved
by "ENTRUST".
