Activities
The activities carried out by the association involves supporting health facilities with essential medical equipment and supplies, building science and IT labs to promote the uptake of STEM related subjects in rural Gambia, granting scholarships to the most outstanding students in STEM related subjects in rural Gambia and also providing grants to needy individuals and other community organisations
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:(1) Poverty:to Relief Of Poverty And Financial Hardship For The Benefit Of The Public In The United Kingdomand Other Parts Of The World (Particularly For People In The Gambia) By:(a) Providing Grants, Items And Services To Individuals In Need And/or Charities, Orother Organisations Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty In These Areas.(b) Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Education, Training, Healthcare Projectsand All The Necessary Support Designed To Relieve Financial Hardship And Enableindividuals To Generate A Sustainable Income And Be Self-Sufficient And Livehealthily.(c) Providing Financial And Moral Support During Bereavements To Anyone, Either Livingin The UK And Other Parts Of The World, Deemed By The Association To Havesuch Need.
