As for many charities, our financial year Sept 2020-Aug 2021 has been very challenging. |

| Due to Covid-19 some ofour work was not able to proceed as usual or | |||
| was restricted. That being said, we managed to hold the majority ofour |
|||
| face to face rehearsals and were able to perform a concert at the |
|||
| Menuhin Hall (with reduced audience numbers). |

| Unfortunately, we were not able to perform in care homes this season as |
|||
| part ofour outreach programme, but kept in contact with them by live |
|||
| streaming our concert on our new youtube channel as well as creating |
an | ||
| online Christmas carol advent calendar all through December which was |
|||
| well received. | |||
| We welcomed new players to the orchestra this season and provided bursaries Ifinancial support to frve players, thus supportirrg their musica( |

| education and opportunities |

| The NYHO Charitable Trust's policy on reserves is to maintain a |
|||
| Brief statement ofthe | sufficient level ofoperational reserves. As a relatively new Charity, we |
||
| charity's | policy on reserves | are looking to build our reserve position, to enable us to meet our | |
| financial liabilities in terms ofstaff costs, contractual commitments such |
|||
| as venue hire, and overheads for a period of 12months in the unlikely |
|||
| event ofa temporary drop orcessation ofincome. in so doing, this wiii |
|||
| enable us to continue our activities to bring harp music to the attention |
of | ||
| the wider public, in particular concerts and tours, and our outreach |
|||
| programme, and to enable us to operate effectively in this activity. |
|||
| COVID-19 restdctions have inevitably significantly impacted our activities, |
|||
| but our reserve position has fortunately enabled us to maintain our |
|||
| activities, where these have been possible, and we look forward to re- | |||
| commencin our concert and our outreach ro ramme when we are |
