|||Due to Covid-19 some ofour work was not able to proceed as usual or||
|||was restricted.<br>That being said, we managed<br>to hold the majority ofour||
|||face to face rehearsals<br>and were able to perform a concert at the||
|||Menuhin<br>Hall (with reduced<br>audience<br>numbers).||
|||Unfortunately,<br>we were not able to perform<br>in care homes this season as||
|||part ofour outreach<br>programme,<br>but kept in contact with them by live||
|||streaming<br>our concert on our new youtube<br>channel as well as creating|an|
|||online Christmas<br>carol advent calendar<br>all through<br>December which was||
|||well received.||
|||We welcomed<br>new players to the orchestra this season and provided<br>bursaries Ifinancial support to frve players,<br>thus supportirrg<br>their musica(||
|||education<br>and opportunities||
|||The NYHO Charitable<br>Trust's policy on reserves is to maintain a||
|Brief statement ofthe||sufficient<br>level ofoperational<br>reserves. As a relatively<br>new Charity, we||
|charity's|policy on reserves|are looking to build our reserve position, to enable us to meet our||
|||financial<br>liabilities<br>in terms ofstaff costs, contractual<br>commitments<br>such||
|||as venue hire, and overheads<br>for a period of 12months<br>in the unlikely||
|||event ofa temporary<br>drop orcessation ofincome. in so doing, this wiii||
|||enable us to continue<br>our activities to bring harp music to the attention|of|
|||the wider public,<br>in particular<br>concerts and tours, and our outreach||
|||programme,<br>and to enable us to operate effectively<br>in this activity.||
|||COVID-19 restdctions<br>have inevitably<br>significantly<br>impacted<br>our activities,||
|||but our reserve position has fortunately<br>enabled<br>us to maintain<br>our||
|||activities, where these have been possible, and we look forward to re-||
|||commencin<br>our concert and our outreach<br>ro ramme when we are||
