TRUSTEES: The general management and control of the hall Is the responsibility of the Trustees who retire at each AGM. There is no limit to the number of years in succession a Trustee may seTve provided they are duly re-elected each year. Anyone living in the area of beneflt, 18 years and over may vote at the AGM. OBJECTIVES: The objects of the CIO are to establlsh and run a village hall and to promote for the beneflt of the inhabitants of the Parish of Croft-on-Tees (area of benefit) without distlnction of sex. sexual orientation, age, disability, nationallty, race or political, religious or other opinions. the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of indivlduals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity of disablement. flnantlal hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the intere5t5 of social welfare and with the oblect of Improvlng the conditions of life of the said inhabitsnts of Croft and those from the neighbouring communities of Hurworth Place, Eryholme and Oalton amongst others.
THE VILLAGÉ HALL FACILITY: The new hall which was constructed in 2019 is a prefabricated modular design which is expected to last approximatety 30 years. The new lease signed In 2019 with our landlords the Croft Estate Settlement 1996 is 25 years. The Trustees and a group of volunteers look after the facility on behalf of the village. It is well supported by the village and surrounding areas. Some of the Events which took place during the year were: quiz night5, lecture society events and open gardens. THE NEW VILLAGE HALL PROJE. During the year ended September 2025 our main focus is to maintain a healthy bank balance during times of uncertain energy priee increases. GOING FORWARD- WHAfs NEXr: I. SPORT5 DEVELOPMENT- Further develop activities in line with Sport England as part of the funding crtteria for the new village hall, allowing 8reater access to exercise and wellbeing facilities within the local community. 2. BUILD UP RESERVES- Provide for future maintenance and the renewal of the building in approximately 30 years. 3. Encourage more locals to become involved In the vlllage, elther through becoming a Trustee or volunteerlng for events. THANK YOU TO: Richmondshire District Council.
