Cranbrook Sports Club Notes to the Financial Statements For The Year Ended 30 April 2022

1. Accounting Policies

1.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements

The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.

1.2. Turnover

Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.

Sale of goods

Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods has transferred to the buyer. This is usually at the point that the customer has signed for the delivery of the goods.

Rendering of services

Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs. Turnover is only recognised to the extent of recoverable expenses when the outcome of a contract cannot be estimated reliably.

1.3. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation

Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:

Leasehold over life of the asset Plant & Machinery 25% reducing balance Fixtures & Fittings 25% reducing balance

Independent Examiner's report to the

COMMITTEE MEMBERS OF CRANBROOK SPORTS CLUB Charity Number 1172923

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30 April 2022 which are set out on pages 4 to 11.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to:

 examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act

 follow the procedures laid down m the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act and

 state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of independent examiner's report

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records, it also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fair view" and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Independent examiner's statement

in connection with my examination no matter has come to my attention

1.Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements

 to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act and

 to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act have not been met; or

2.To which, In my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
