NB this project was cancelled in December 2024 because of bad delivery time delays in Cape Town and unacceptable escalating costs, both posing LTPT with serious financial risk.
Policy Programme related to investment There is no investment in the UK based operation all facilities and utilities being provided by volunteers at their own expense.
There is an on-going programme of investment in equipment and preschool buildings in Langa, the programme conditioned by the size of funding available from the UK through LTPT.
Contribution by Volunteers
LTPT’s UK Operation has been run wholly by the Chairman, supported significantly on the Financial/treasury side and the publicity and design side as featured in Section B, all under the governance of, and with the advice of, the Board of Trustees. Additionally, there has been continuing contact with Chris Beech (Cape Town) and Gary Clueit (Isle of Man) concerning the SHOP project who are volunteers for the SHOP project.
