Section C Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
To advance education for the benefit of the public in the township of Langa, Cape Town, South Africa by supporting the Nomonde Educare initiative and any other pre-school initiatives in the township through assistance such as materials, equipment and furnishings and direct financial assistance, the provision of professional advice and such assistance as deemed appropriate .
Main activities :
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Fund raising to support programme of benefit for pre-school children in Langa Township and the empowerment of women there, with a view to promoting both knowledge, health and sustainability.

Financial and managerial control.

Promoting awareness in UK of the issues of poverty, deprivation and potential for solutions and progress, to those with whom we contact in the UK.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main To have survived COVID in surprisingly good order. achievements of the charity To have completed its 3-year Nomonde Pre-School Infrastructure during the year improvement project in 4 years, delayed a year because of COVID. To have continued fully to support financially and managerially the work of the Nomonde Office in support variously of 6 pre-schools, through day to day work in and outside the Nomonde Office in Langa Township. To have given financial support during the pandemic to the Langa Early Child development Forum. To have extended our list of relevant contacts in Cape Town. To have restarted our events fund-raising programme following COVID. To continue to be solvent and to have established a separate infrastructure fund. To have had a think tank to look well into the future. To have planned for a Spring Appeal. To have agreed and planned to launch the 3 - year SHOP initiative – acronym for Succour -Hope – Optimism – Progress.
