The charity was formed by the committee of Holme Village Residents Association (HVRA) for the piirpose of holding a property in the village of Holme, formerly owned and occupied by the members of Holme Village Institute (HVI), in which the above objects could be achieved. The members of HVI had agreed to assist these aims by providing funds and donating its property and assets to the charity. Prior to the registration of the charity a number of surveys of the property and the employment of an architect were funded by grants obtained by HVRA and by donations from HVI. Plans drawn up for the changes to the property were submitted and funded by HVI and were approved in February th 2018. Prior to completion of the transfer of the property on 18 July 2018, HVRA agreed to meet the cost of a highway survey and architects's fees relating to the property on the understanding that the amount of £1726 would be a loan to the charity, repayable when funds became available.
