within their local community spaces. People of all types, including those
from various lesser-represented backgrounds, were able to interact and
learn new things about the importance of wildlife in urban environments,
as well as the crucial role of freshwater ecosystems in the health of our
planet.
The charity was able to support a small number of dedicated volunteer
aquarists, to embark on their first efforts in reproducing commonly
encountered aquarium fish species with high threat statuses, for the
purposes of maintaining captive broodstock in the event of their extinction.
