The Trustees continued to meet regularly, mainly by remote means, to monitor and review the position with regard to national and local restrictions. Decisions on re-opening were made in line with local authority advice and risk assessments undertaken by the trustees, however the severity of the pandemic meant that use of the building was restricted to a very small number of weeks only, and by a handful of hirers.
Plans for refurbishment of the building remain in place and were reviewed by the Trustees but refurbishment activity was inevitably delayed due to the pandemic.
The Slaithwaite Civic Hall Trust continued to build on financial reserves which will enable future development of and improvements to the facilities in the Civic Hall.
