The objects of MAM UK, for the public benefit of people in Myanmar (and
any other regions the trustees may see fit from time to time), are:
(1) the relief of sickness and the preservation of health; and
(2) the relief of need, hardship and distress.
During the period under review, having regard to guidance issued by the
Charity Commission on Public Benefit, the Trustees made donations to
Medical Action Myanmar (MAM), which is registered as a charitable
organisation with the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam under number
34345953.
MAM is a medical aid organisation established in 2009, whose mission is to
improve access to health care for the poorest people living in Myanmar.
MAM supports a network of Community Health Workers to provide health
care in some of the most remote villages in Myanmar, and operates static
clinics both in rural areas and in the poorest parts of the capital, Yangon.

Section C Note - Related Party Transaction

During the yeear the charity shipped a donated X-Ray machine to Myanmar. Nordic Group Myanmar Ltd (Nordic), a company of which Giles Middleton is a director and shareholder, shipped the unit from UK to Myanmar and arranged import at a cost of £4,063. The Trustees explored a number of options and chose Nordic because they offered the best rate.

Responsibilities and basis of report

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2020

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
