In setting the objectives of the Association and planning its future activities, the trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit. In particular, the trustees consider how planned activities will contribute to the aims and objectives that have been set. |

During the year ended 31 December 2023, the Association generated income of £15,010, which was comprised of members' subscription fees of £12,110 and sponsorship income of £2,900. Expenditure in the year totalled £13,572. This included administration fees for the British Cardiovascular Society totalling £2,730. The Association continued to provide support in the study, research and understanding of congenital heart diseases. The 2023 Annual Meeting was held in person in Bristol over 2 days in November 2023. 399 delegates registered to attend this successful meeting. |
Financial Review

As at 31 December 2023, the charity's funds stood at £79,169 per the Statement of Assets and Liabilities, all being assets held in cash balances. The trustees believe that this is a sufficient level to provide the funds to fulfil the objectives of the charity. In particular, monetary support is offered for applications for setting up Registries, research projects and the provision of patient information through web hosting and printed materials. Discussions have also been held regarding the possibility of the Association running its own courses/study days which would require significant investment. |
