|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|During the year ended 31 December 2023, the Association<br>generated income of £15,010, which was comprised of<br>members' subscription fees of £12,110 and sponsorship<br>income of £2,900.<br>Expenditure in the year totalled £13,572. This included<br>administration fees for the British Cardiovascular Society<br>totalling £2,730. The Association continued to provide<br>support in the study, research and understanding of<br>congenital heart diseases.<br>The 2023 Annual Meeting was held in person in Bristol over<br>2 days in November 2023. 399 delegates registered to<br>attend this successful meeting.|



## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|As at 31 December 2023, the charity's funds stood at<br>£79,169 per the Statement of Assets and Liabilities, all<br>being assets held in cash balances. The trustees believe<br>that this is a sufficient level to provide the funds to fulfil the<br>objectives of the charity. In particular, monetary support is<br>offered for applications for setting up Registries, research<br>projects and the provision of patient information through<br>web hosting and printed materials. Discussions have also<br>been held regarding the possibility of the Association<br>running its own courses/study days which would require<br>significant investment.|
