Westhead Village Hall - Trustees” Annual Report and Accounts September 2024
The hall continues to function effectively in providing an affordable venue for a range of interest groups and private bookings. Bookings are taken from the immediate locality but also from further afield.
Detailed reports of village hall activities will be presented at the AGM by committee members who hold specific responsibilities.
These will comprise:

The group continues to be used by a variety of local groups and organisations, including
GCSE Tuition Sew Solid Crew Learning Stars West Lancashire Ukulele Group Yoga Midstream Beavers and Scouts St James Church St James CE Primary School Karate Age UK Rylands
Annual Accounts
The treasurer reports that the hall has operated on a loss of £1,910.16 over the period October 2023 to September 2024. This is due to the fact that the committee authorised the spending of £5,000 from reserves to cover a variety of jobs including re-roofing the storeroom and repairs to other parts of the roof, maintenance of the fencing, paintwork on the entrance.
Other major expenses have been energy bills an cleaning. The energy contract with TotalEnergies will come to a close in February 2025 and this will give us the opportunity to switch to a more reasonably priced supplier.
