Activities

A volunteer-powered charity that stops good food from being wasted and promotes food waste reduction for environmental and social good. We collect surplus food from shops, manufacturers and farms and share it with community groups. In 2021-22, we rescued 175 tonnes of food, mitigating more than 451 tonnes of greenhouse gases and saving our community partners more than 40% of their food budget.

Objects: (a) The Relief Of Poverty In The Public Benefit In The UK In Particular But Not Exclusively Through:(i) The Collection And Redistribution Of Surplus Food In Shropshire; (ii) The Encouragement Of Members Of The Public To Undertake Voluntary Work In Shropshire; (iii) The Promotion Of Community Capacity Building To Create A Strong Network Of Groups Linked By Food In Shropshire; (iv) The Support Of Other Groups Across The UK To Do Similar Work. (b) The Furtherance, For The Benefit Of The Public, The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment, In Particular But Not Exclusively Through The Advancement Of Public Education On The Reduction Of Waste (in Particular Food Waste) And Its Adverse Environmental Impacts
