| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The City of Lichfield Concert band enjoyed its first full year post-Covid with a return to a full concert programme of 8 well attended events. Four of these events were outdoor free events for the wider community including performing at Lichfield Proms in the Park which attracts an audience of local residents in their thousands and performing at the National Arboretum as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We maintained and developed further our relationship with other local music groups and venues this year performing in the Coton Centre, Tamworth and Lichfield Cathedral which gave opportunites to reach wider and larger audiences. In November 2022 we performed at the regional qualifying event for the National Concert Band Festival in Telford gaining a platinum award and an invitation to perform at the national finals in Manchester in 2023. This gave the band members a valuable experience of performing at a very high standard and also led to representing Lichfield on the national stage. |
