People Matters creates opportunities for local people including those with disabilities to be more independent and enjoy life in the same ways, and in the same places, as anybody else.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:(1) To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit Within Leeds And Surrounding Areas By Preventing Adults And Young People With Hidden Disabilities Or Other Disadvantage From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society.(2) To Promote Learning For The Public Benefit Within Leeds And Surrounding Areas By Adults And Young People With Hidden Disabilities Or Other Disadvantage Through The Continued Development Of Their Individual Capabilities, Competencies, Skills And Understanding To Promote Independence And Well-Being And/or In Subjects Of Education Value.(3) To Relieve Unemployment Of People With Hidden Disabilities Or Other Disadvantage For The Benefit Of The Public Within Leeds And Surrounding Areas In Such Ways As May Be Thought Fit, Including, But Not Limited To, Assistance To Find Employment (Both Paid And Voluntary).
