Achievements and Performance

Seion's Sunday worship services continued throughout 2023 with a faithful number attending. Some special services and meetings aimed at bringing new people in to Seion were also held. We have run a weekly childrens meeting on a Tuesday throughout 2023. The children played a part in our annual carol service which was held the Sunday before Christmas with over 80 people in attendance. We have run a number of meals/services for over 60s which have been attended by between 25 and 40 people. Seion's pastor has taken, and the chapel also hosted, a number of funeral services, both for members of our congregation but also for other people from the local community. Our prayer meeting is held on a Monday in the chapel and our Bible Study is held on Thursdays through telephone conferencing. This has made it possible for people who live quite a distance away from the chapel and those who (due to illness or infirmity) aren't able to attend evening meetings to study the Bible with us. As a result the vast majority of Seion's congregation phone in for the Bible studies.

Financial Review

Income for the year was £27,876 compared to £25,858 for the previous year. Expenditure for the year was £33,706 compared to £31,353 for the previous year. This gave a deficit on the year of (£5,830) compared to (£5,495) for the previous year. The deficit was covered by cash reserves which still have a healthy balance of £45,186. We continue to be grateful to the church members and others who faithfully support the work of the church through their financial giving.

Declaration
