The other meetings have taken place every week) ## **Achievements and Performance** Seion's Sunday worship services continued throughout 2023 with a faithful number attending. Some special services and meetings aimed at bringing new people in to Seion were also held. We have run a weekly childrens meeting on a Tuesday throughout 2023. The children played a part in our annual carol service which was held the Sunday before Christmas with over 80 people in attendance. We have run a number of meals/services for over 60s which have been attended by between 25 and 40 people. Seion's pastor has taken, and the chapel also hosted, a number of funeral services, both for members of our congregation but also for other people from the local community. Our prayer meeting is held on a Monday in the chapel and our Bible Study is held on Thursdays through telephone conferencing. This has made it possible for people who live quite a distance away from the chapel and those who (due to illness or infirmity) aren't able to attend evening meetings to study the Bible with us. As a result the vast majority of Seion's congregation phone in for the Bible studies. ## **Financial Review** Income for the year was £27,876 compared to £25,858 for the previous year. Expenditure for the year was £33,706 compared to £31,353 for the previous year. This gave a deficit on the year of (£5,830) compared to (£5,495) for the previous year. The deficit was covered by cash reserves which still have a healthy balance of £45,186. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity for the year ended
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
