General Comments
Purchases for equipment, costumes etc. that is stored in garage or other secure facilities and used over several productions or hired out have traditionally been 100% charges to the year under review. when purchased. The subsequent saving reflected in future productions. This has always been the case and may result in a large charge to one year. TRUE BUT BUYING IS CHEAPER THAN HIRING IN GENERAL. IF WE HIRED, COST WOULD GENUINELY BE FOR THAT SHOW ALONE SO NOT REALLY TOO WORRIED ABOUT THIS ONE
The insurance claim paid during the year may be better treated as an accrual after netting off the replacement purchase in case the replacement fails requires service etc and you are involved in a heavy expense to replace same or hire costs. WILL DO THIS
