Evenstar Charitable Association Trustees Annual Report For The Period Ending 30 June 2025 STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), established on 4 September 2016 and registered with the Charity Commission on 6 November 2016. It is governed by a Foundation Constitution. The trustees are responsible for the overall management and control of the charity. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions set out in the charity's constitution. New trustees are appointed by resolution of the existing trustees. The charity has procedures in place to manage conflicts of interest. Trustees are required to declare any potential conflicts and withdraw from decision-making where appropriate. All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other financial benefits. No expenses were reimbursed during the period. Trustees have access to appropriate training and guidance to fulfil their responsibilities effectively. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The charity's principal objective is the promotion of humane behaviour towards animals for the public benefit, in particular by relieving the suffering of cats and dogs that are neglected, abandoned, abused, stray or otherwise in need of care and attention. This is achieved through the PAWS in Need program: Rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need Provision of veterinary treatment, including vaccination, sterilisation and microchipping Placement of animals into suitable foster homes Rehoming animals locally and internationally The charity operates under the working name "Qatar Tails" reflecting the geographical focus of its rescue activities in Qatsr and its emphasis on animal welfare. The charity also works to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare awareness. From time to time, the Charity extends its scope of activities to alleviate the sufferings of people around the world. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE During the period from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025, the charity focused on maintaining and supporting its existing rescue commitments under its "PAWS in Need" programme. This included providing ongoing care and veterinary treatment to rescued animals. successfully placing animals into foster and permanent homes in Qatar and the UK. and continuing to assess and match animals to suitable adopters. The charity ensured appropriate oversight of its activities by working with trusted service and veterinary providers. The "Pets on Jets" initiative faced limitations due to a reduced network of adopters and foster resources within the UK. This was partially offset by increased adoption activity among expatriates within Qatar. A total of 55 cats were adopted within the 12 month period. The charity also participated in the Paws for Hope community event, which helped raise awareness of animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and adoption. This engagement strengthened community connections and supported the charity's outreach objectives. FINANCIAL REVIEW The charity's total income for the period ended 30 June 2025 was £3,405 (2024: £2082). All income was derived from voluntary donations. All funds received during the year were applied directly to specific animal welfare cases and related charitable activities. Total expenditure for the period was £3,309 (2024: £2849), with the costs relating directly to charitable activities, including veterinary care, transportation, and animal welfare support. Net movement in funds for the period was £96.

The trustees confirm that there were no outstanding liabilities at the year end. RESERVES POLICY The trustees have established a reserves policy to ensure that the charity can continue to meet its obligations in the event of unforeseen expenditure or a reduction in income. Given the nature of the charity's activities, the absence of fixed overheads, and the practice of applying funds directly to charitable purposes as they are received, the trustees consider it appropriate to maintain minimal reserves at this time. The trustees will continue to monitor this position and review the policy regularly as the charity's activities develop. RISK MANAGEMENT The trustees have considered the major risks to which the charity is exposed. These include: Financial risk due to reliance on voluntary donations Operational risks associated with animal rescue, veterinary treatment, and rehoming Risks associated with operating within Qatar To mitigate these risks, the trustees: Maintain oversight of financial activity and expenditure Work with trusted Servi and qualified veterinary providers Implement checks for foster placements and adoption processes The trustees review risks on a regular basis and will continue to formalise risk management procedures as the charity develops. FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES The charity raises fvnds through voluntary donations and online platforms. The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charity's financial position. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to: Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently Obsenie the methods and principles of the applicable Charities SORP Make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records, safeguarding the assets of the charity, and taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. FUTURE PLANS The trustees intend to continue pursuing the charity's goals as outlined in the Objectives and Activities section of this report. Future plans include expanding its foster and adoption networks in both England and Qatar, enabling the charity to support more animals in need of rescue and rehoming.
