We increase people’s sense of well-being and reduce
loneliness and social isolation by bringing people and
communities together to make friendships. We
encourage people to actively take part in their community
by exchanging their skills and time with others.
We recognise, value and celebrate every informal
volunteering action, no matter how big or small.
Participants share their skills and learn new skills from
others.
We run eight neighbourhood timebanks in Plymouth and
work in partnership with service providers to support
people to get active in their community.
We run weekly socials in each neighbourhood and
organise skill swaps to ensure the safety of all those who
take part.
We monitor and evaluate everything we do.

Para 1.20 Whilst 2020 – 2021 has been a difficult year due to
Covid-19 we have continued to operate.
We have increased the number of individuals and groups
joining.
We have maintained the number of volunteer skills hours
exchanged.
We supported eight neighbourhood Timebanks in
Plymouth.
We are named as an integral partner of Plymouth City
Council’s Wellbeing Hub Strategy.
We have continued hosting weekly socials – on zoom
during lockdown and outdoors and face to face when it
was safe to do so. This contact helped beneficiaries to
combat feelings of social isolation and loneliness.

Awarded continuation funding from Plymouth City Council. Timebank South West is inclusive and remains free for all beneficiaries to join and take part.
