HIMS members are responsible for the activities that take place. The Trustees and Management committee, subject to finances, aims to provide the resources for those activities to take place. Current activities include, woodturning, carpentry, model making, art, light engineering, external visits to places of educational and interest.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The Charity has been able to equip the workshop in new tools to enable its members to carry out work in making and refurbishing items for members of the local community. Conducted a very successful public auction of items made by it’s members which raised a much needed income to buy the equipment mentioned above.

Principal fund raising is achieved through annual membership donations and from the local community who ask to either make things or refurbish personal items.
Members will also make items for themselves and give a donation for materials the charity has provided.

Section F Other optional information
The charity’s AGM had to be postponed in February due to the resignation of the then chairman 4 weeks before the AGM. An EGM was called and a 60 day period was announced to allow nominations for the post to put forward AGM was held in April and a new chairman elected.
