For the public benefit, the relief of sickness of children with terminal illnesses or life limiting conditions in Dorset by the provision of memorable, fun and special days out.

During the period under review the Charity has provided a number of family fun and special days out for families in Dorset falling within the objectives of the Charity through the acquisition of entrance tickets to various theme parks and similar venues for memorable days out and also gift boxes.
During the year the Trustees continued to secure the use of a Beach Hut for family days out for many families.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
During this period the Charity has been able to provide a number of days out for families in Dorset where a child within the family has a terminal illness or life limiting condition. The trustees are proud to be able to continue to help a number of families and are endeavouring to ensure more families are made aware of the charities purpose.
Close links have continued to be established with a number of Hospital Trusts in order for referrals to be made to the Charity where the conditions have been met.

Section E Financial review
Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
The charity holds reserves to be able to meet the Charity’s main objective of being able to provide memorable, fun and special days out. At 31 December 2023 the Charity held reserves of £100,179. The trustees longer term objective is to raise sufficient funds to be able to acquire suitable holiday accommodation to offer short-term breaks for those families falling within the criteria of the charity’s objectives. Funds continue to grow in order to enable this alongside the family breaks.

Report to the trustees/ Charity Name members of The Lexi May Trust On accounts for the year 31 December 2023 Charity no 1169177 ended (if any) Set out on pages 1 and 2 (remember to include the page numbers of additional sheets)
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2023.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
