demonstrations
by the artists toe.g. !ocal U3A
groups, and some concerts are broadcast
live
over the internet to a diverse international
audience ofseveral thousand.

The festival programme
is decided by the
Contribution
volunteers
made by Artistic Director, Sophia Rahman,
who also
chooses the artists, and receives afee for her
services.
Otherwise,
the charity is run entirely on a
voluntary
basis and the trustees are responsible
for all executive action involved
in planning,
publicising,
funding
and managing
the festival
and for legal and financial advice.
We are fortunate to have in addition
a
substantial
number ofvolunteers
who are
willing to perform a wide range oftasks before
and during the festival.

We appointed a new Artistic Director,
Sophia Rahman,
four new trustees and a
new treasurer to fill vacancies created by
