Para 1.20 The Society continued its Diversity Series Events which was well received across
London and by the profession. The Society organised networking events encouraging
individuals from various backgrounds to feel comfortable at the Bar. As a result of
these initiatives and the other achievements listed below, the Society won the
LawCareers.Net "Best Society for Aspiring Barristers" and "Most Committed to
Diversity" at the STudent Law Society Awards.
The Society entered into various sponsorship agreements with barristers' chambers,
Inns, and orther organisations in London to support the provision of vocational training
and to provide for networking opportunities with members of the legal profession.
The Society organised various online events, workshops, and networking sessions to
adapt our programme in light of the Covid-19 pandemic that allowed for students to
connect with legal professionals from various practice areas and learn more about
different paths to the Bar.
The Society organised various mooting competitions which allowed for students to
practice their oral advocacy skills in the legal context and network with various legal
professionals and academics.
