Reserves As part of the audit work it was entird that incory* from Police Force fees was not being re¢ognised in the correct period. Having reviewed the contracts in place rt was agreed that the income recognition poinl was the start of each cohort's academy. Previously Police Now had been recognising the income when il was invoiced which was in advance ofeach cohort stsrting. Therefore. a prior year adjustrnent was required to defer of the Police Force fees income into later period$. To ensure the financial statements show a true and fair view. an adjustrnent has been made to the reserves for the years ending 31st March 2020 and 31st March 2021 to ensure the opening balance posrtion was correct and income relating to 2022123 has been deferred in the financial statements. The address of the registered office is given wthin the Reference and Administrats've Details page. The company is a charitable company limited by guarantee. The members of the company are the TTuslees named on page 1. In the event of the company being wound up, the liabilty in respect of the guarantee is limited to £1 per fflbef of trbe company. At that lime. they were satisfied that there Is no material uncertainty that would ¢a$l doubl on the charity's ability to contsnue as a going ¢on¢ern Police Now has sufficient reSoUrS to continue operab.ng for the foreseeable future and accounts have been ppared in the knowledge that Police Now is a financialty vBble organisation. The effect of un¢ertaints including force demand. An updated financial forecast was prepared in Juty 2022 to assess the irnpact of changes in force demand. The Trustees have a reasonable expectalKn that Police Now has adequate resources to continue in operab'onal existence for the foreseeable future. The enb.ty therefore contsnues to adopt the going ¢oncem batsi$ in preparing its financial statements. 2.5 Fund accounting General funds are uns1n"¢ted fvnds which are available for use at the d+s¢tIOn of the Trustees in furtherance of the general objectives ol the company and whh have not been desNJnaied for other purp05e5.
