supporting 150+ local and remote
members (those living in other parts of the
country) and a larger diverse group of
hundreds of friends, family and visitors
participating on-line and in-person.
Some of the main activities this year have
included:

Worship & Devotion– breaking of
bread memorial (communion) services
every Sunday, Christmas and Easter
celebrations, modern and traditional
songs and praise with local musicians,
prayer groups both in-person, on-line
and via WhatsApp; morning Bible
reading several times a week on Zoom;
adult baptism services throughout the
year marking this special commitment
to God and Lord Jesus Christ

Learning & Teaching– practical
teaching for youth groups (primary and
secondary school age), Sunday School
each week for 24+ children,
Wednesday night on-line Bible Class
covering an array of topics with people
and members joining local and from
around the country, Bible-based
practical classes for Iranian refugees
travelling in from both Maidenhead and
further afeld on Sundays (e.g. West
Drayton, Slough, London)

Care & acts of service– pastoral care
for our local congregation, friends,
family and a large number of refugees
from Iran; Rainbow Toddler group for
20-50+ local parents/carers in
Maidenhead each Wednesday providing
craft, singing, friendship,
snacks/refreshments; joint fund-raising
with our youth group / Sunday School
and church for local charities (e.g.
Cowshed, Shine London Night Walk –
Cancer Research); promotion of weekly
collections for local, national and
international charities (e.g. care homes,
food banks, disaster relief orgs)

Friendship & fellowship– fortnightly
youth groups with all kinds of activities
(craft, sailing, games/quizzes, cooking)
and Bible time for all ages joining from
across Thames Valley; fun activities
every few months for junior primary-
age and hiking/camping weekends for
teenagers and young adults; church
outingto afamilyfarm with food,

outdoor games and activities; informal social activities (e.g. cycling, restaurant meals, evening drinks etc); weekly coffee morning for drinks and chat in Maidenhead church and local cafes; ‘Big Church Get Together’ held every 6 months, to help keep connected with our growing church in a larger local venue (Holyport village hall), enjoying worship, prayer and praise, message of encouragement, breaking of bread and indoor/outdoor activities and delicious meal shared together
