Kirk Hammerton Nursery is registered with Otsted and is a member of the pre-school learning alliance. Funding for trNO three and four years olds is received from North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC). All trustees give their time voluntarily. In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. The nursery is planned and led by our excellent playroom staff (all of whom are qualified to Level 3 and above). Our facilities allow indoor and outdoor play. Playtime for the children is a mixture of staff-led and independent play. Each child has a key-worker and is planned for individually. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year The nursery offers morning and afternoon sessions five days a week. The Nursery School operates a play lead teaching scheme focusing on the child's individual interests. It is the policy of the Nursery to maintain a Reserve sufficient to cover ui) to two half terms operating costs.
