meeting held in July. They can be appointed in between by agreement of
the committee.

Kirk Hammerton Nursery is registered with Otsted and is a member of
the pre-school learning alliance.
Funding for trNO three and four years olds is received from North
Yorkshire County Council (NYCC).
All trustees give their time voluntarily.
The aims of the nursery are to enhance the development and education
of children primarily under statutory school age by encouraging parents
to understand and provide for the needs of their children through
community groups and by:

responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of such groups,

the needs of such children and their families and promoting public

In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity
Commission's guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings.
The nursery is planned and led by our excellent playroom staff (all of
whom are qualified to Level 3 and above). Our facilities allow indoor and
outdoor play. Playtime for the children is a mixture of staff-led and
independent play. Each child has a key-worker and is planned for
individually. Photographs and comments are included in the 'Learning
Journey, booklets.

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
The nursery offers morning and afternoon sessions five days a week.
The Nursery School operates a play lead teaching scheme focusing on
the child's individual interests.
This year the Nursery School has invested funds in improving,
refurbishing and maintaining the outside area

Our main Sour￿ of funding is from North Yorkshire County Council who
currently fund a mix of funding for 2,3 and 4 year olds. We charge for
sessional fees of non-funded children and a voluntary donation to cover
costs of snack, sun cream and use of waterproofs and wellies and other
additional services

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the Trust") for the year ended
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 ('the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
