STAFF REPORT SEPTEMBER 2022 - AUGUST 2023 Here is an account of the Staf f of Newquoy Preschool and Nursery In October 2022 the setting held its annual Halloween party at the setting. There was a big raf f le organised by Kim Lawry to raise funds for improving an outdoor area for green room. The staf f in 9reen room also set up a go f und me pa9e to raise f unds to support the new area. In November the children took part in harvest festival and a group of children went to a care home to deliver f ood parcels and Sing Some son9S, In t)ecember the older children went to St Michaels Church to preform a Christmas sing along f or the parents and their families. The settin9 celebrated Christmas with the children and had end of term parties and discos. rn January 2023 the setting si9ned up to the Early Talk Boost. Emma Flynn attended the training aimed to help children with any delays in their language development, Emma continued with small group work throughout the rest of the year attd built on the children's outcomes. She reported that she could see improvement made. In February 2023 the whole team attended Makaton trainin9, this helped to ensure there was a consistent approach throughout the setting Wlth everyone supporting the children. We also had some trainin9 Wlth the SEN team giving the staff strategies to support children with SEN. In June 2023 the whole team completed saf eguardin9 trainin9 as their annual ref resher with C8 saf eguarding training. The School leavers went to Newquay Zoo for their end of term trip, they had a fabulous day, some of the parents stayed to help and everyone had o great time. We went on the land train to get there which was a lovely treat. In July the children going to Trenan¢e School had a little visit to meet their new Teachers and look at their classrooms. We had lots of vislts f rom other Schools and their teachers to meet the new children moving tot hem in September. We held the annual sports day for yellow room over at the f ootball club which was a wonderf ul success and the children were amazing. We had a end of term party with the children with a disco, bouncy castle and lots of fun and games. STAFF CHANGES Natalie kearn left the setting in October, she went to work in one of the local Schools.
