For many years now M'e have be¢n siriving to forge links with this high-risk group. With our brund beeoniing more I'ecognisable amongst our local farmers, li'e decided to attend the thi'ee-day South of England Agricultural Shoiv ii) June 2023, which was hugely successful. In S¢pt¢inber 2023 w¢ had a stand at the Wesi Grinstead Ploughing match, where we gave out leaflets and raised awareness of Samaritans. We used biynded cai. stickers aiid e]icouraged farniers to place tliem in their tractors and work vehicles. We liave IK)oked io attend both events again in 2024. 4.3 Supporting staff and students at our loegl schools Schools remain a high priority in our region, further to a sei'ies of young students iii our secoiidary schools taking their own lives. As well as secondary schools we ali'eady supwrted, w'e have extended our offer to a new secoiidary school, Bohiinl, and have cari'ied out several assemblies for the students. We have also carried out cmotional support at a local Agricultural college. Brinsbury. This year Horsham and Crawley bi?nch led on the national campaign 'Talk to Us, which involved our volunl¢¢i beiiig videoed and interviewed. The footage widely shared oli social media platfornis. Our Branch Director was also inteiviewed for BBC South East News in relation to u fundrniser from Kent ivlio is running J66 marathons over a year, all in aid of Samaritans. We have linked up with Aberdeen branch and are now the first branch in the UK to have a branch 'twin .
