Misstatements can arise from fraud or error and are considered material if, individually or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be expected to influence the economic decisions of users taken on the basi5 of these financial statements. The extent to which our procedures are ¢hpable of detecting irregularities, including fraud is detsil¢d below: Ensuring that the Audit Team has the appropriate competence and ¢apabilities to identify or recognise non ¢omplian¢e with laws and regulations, with spe¢ific suscep¢ibl¢ attas {e.8. ¢xpens¢ authori5ation) having been outlined at the planning stage. The ttustees make this assessment in respect of a period of one year from the dat¢ of approval of the financial statements. Intome 4nd endowmtntj Voluntary inrome including donations> gifts, legacies and grants that provAde core funding or arc of a 8en¢Tal nature is rerognised when the charity ha5 entitlement to the income, it is probablc that the income will be r¢¢eived and the amount can be measured with sufficient reliability. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated on a basis consistent with the use of resources, with central staff costs allo¢ated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation charges allocated on the portion of the &sset's use. Other support costs are allocated based on the spread of staff costs.
