Financial Review
----- Start of picture text -----
Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 At the end of the financial year
financial position at the 2021-2022 our total income was
end of the period just under £50,000. After
deducting Shop costs and
expenses of just over £20,000, we
had a healthy surplus of £29,000.
Our overseas Projects support and
expenditure in Bangladesh, Kenya
and the Philippines for this period
amounted to just over £13,000
with further education costs
expected to be met in the early
part of the next financial period
2022/2023.
Statement explaining the Para 1.22 At the end of each financial year
policy for holding we hold the remaining
reserves stating why they surplus/reserves for use as and
are held when a need arises during the
next financial year. £12-15,000 is
currently being held and
earmarked for the future purchase
and transportation of an ex-NHS
Ambulance for a hospital in Kenya.
Some logistical problems in Kenya
are holding this process up i.e.,
issues at the port of entry and
clearance from the government
department. We are seeking
assurances from the port authority
that there will be no extra charges
and the vehicle will have safe and
secure passage.

charity continuing as a the present, uncertain financial
going concern climate worldwide, we are
seriously considering the long-
term future of the Charity.
Although we had a good year in
2021-22, we are now seeing a
slow-down this year 2022-23. The
current financial year is proving
challenging, with less customers
frequenting our Charity Shop and
fewer donors supporting our work.
We are struggling to attract
