Objoctlve8 and activitioB Objects and aims Charitable donatr'ons or grants from the Charity are made to causes close to the famivs heart that have been supported foT numerous years. Donation8 or grants are discussed amongst the trustees befor8 decisions are made. The main objective of the Charity is to suppr)rt instr(ution$ through the provision of donations and grants. Public benefit The Trustees confirm that they have complied wth the requirements of section 4 of the Charities Art 2011 to have due regard to the Publ￿ benefit guidan￿ published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Finan¢Sal reviow Poll¢y on reserves Reserves carried forward at the period end total £265,48712022- £294,821} for unrestricted funds. 11 is the policy of the Charity that unreslrthd funds which have nol been designated for a specsfic use should be maintained at a level equivalent to between three- and six-monlh's expenditure. Tho trustees meet on a quarterly basis to discuss the Charitys ongoing actwilies and future plans. Recrultment and appointmènt of trustees The recruitment of trustees are from the Gordon famity. New trustees are appointed by the exrdling trustees. All of the trustees are members of the Charity. Oblectives and policies The Charivs adivilies expose it to a number of financisl risks including credit risk, cash ftow risk and liquidity risk. The use of financial derivalive8 is governed by the Charitys policies approved by the board of trustees, which provide wrttten principles on the use of financial derivatives to manage these risks. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Fir￿n¢la1 Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republr of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffeclive 1 January 20191, the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republtc of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Charit￿$ Act 2011. The financial ststements have been PTepared to give a 'lrue and faif view and have departed from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only lo the extent required to provide a 'lrue and f8ii' view. This departure has involved following the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 published in October 2019 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Following this review. the Injstsès consider there to be little impact on the Charity's ability to act as a going concern. The trustees have reviewed th8 capitsl resources avai￿le and consider that the Charity has adequate resources in place in order to meet ivs charitable objeelives and aims for the next twelve months. 1.3 INCOME All income is recognised once the ChaTity has enlttlemenl lo the income, il is probable that the income will be received and the amount of income receivable ean be measured reliably. In¢ome and èndowment8 Voluntary income including don*ions, gifts, legacies and grants that provide core funding or are of a general nalute is recognised when the Charity has entitlement lo the income, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured with sufficient reliability.
