The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. The main activities have been the provision of a foodbank at St Botolphs church hall, The Hill, Northfleet and a mobile foodbank at various locations within Gravesham.

We are grateful for the many hours volunteers have contributed to enable the provision of foodbank services.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Hive Hope has provided a foodbank at Northfleet every Wednesday morning. We have also operated a mobile foodbank at different locations within Gravesham three times each week. During the course of the year we provided food for 10,000 local people. On average each person used foodbank nine times.
We have also provided food for local schools to distribute to families in need. We continue to signpost clients to other organisations who can offer a broad range of services.

Hive Hope had £19472 cash in hand at year end. This is sufficient to cover all planned expenditure for five months. Additional grant funding is expected. Purchase of stock can be modified as required.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Hive Hope I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Hive Hope for the year ended 31 March 2023. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts Carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5)Ib) of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect.. accounting records were not kepl in respect of Ihe Trusl as required by section 130 of the Act, or 2. thé accounts do not accord with those records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection wth the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order lo enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
