The Nottingham Irish Centre Summary of the main achievements during the period In this period we continued to facilitate cultural activities for the Irish community and to run our Communty Outreach Pr(>3ramme. We also began to consider the long- tenn viabilty of the Irish Centre. The premises were purchased over 50 years ago and we own them without encumbrance. However. they are now too large for our purposes and costly to maintain. There are two buildings: numbers 2 and 4 WiKord St. At the AGM we proposed to sell number 4 and use the funds from the sale to renovate number 2" the remaining funds would consolidate our financial position for the future. The AGM supported the trustees. proposal and we put number 4 on the market. We received an offer from a developer for £1.7m for the building and the car park. subject to planning pemission. At the end of this period the developer was in the process of apptying for planning pemiission. The charity's policy on reserves At this juncture we do not have reserves. The sale of part of the premises wrll allow us in the fvture to remedy this. Signed on behalf of the chafivs trustees: Signed Patrick Murphy. Ch Date 102
