RHIGOS COMMUNrrY SPORTS AS50aATION TRUSTEES REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 RHIGOS COMMUNrrY SPORTS ASSoaATION Strurture, Governance & Management The association 15 a Charitable Incorporated Assoclation which was granted Charitable status on 25 February 2016. The trustees. who are appointed every three years, work wrth a management committee comprised of representation of village clubs, groups and organisations both social and sporting. The management committee members are voted on annually at the AGM. The tnjstees who are recruited are given adequate induction and training where needed. The Association is governed by its constltution. Oblettlvès & Actlvities The charity was set up to maintain the upkeep of Rhigos Community Sport5 Hall and provlde equipment and a venue for the people of Rhigos and nei8hbourin8 villages to pursue sporting and recreational activities for the benefSt of their health and well being. Achlevements & Performance We were granted a new lease from Rhigos RFC running until 13th May 2048. This lease has been formally lod8ed wlth the Land Re8lStry for Wales. We secured grants of £19,360 from We15h Sports Associatlon and £4,840 from the Welsh Church Fund to acquire solar pane15 and batteries, though the Welsh Church Fund grant W05 paid retrospectively after the year end and will show up in next years accounts. The work was completed at the year's end and so had no impact in the year but the projected savings are £2,CW per annum. We lost regular users, the Hockey group, that needed bigger pMIseS and replaced thèm with a Karate 8roup. Hall use fell away as some of the other Junior clubs found new venues. The sauna was accidentally damaged In the year and repaired with an insurance claim of É1.266.40. Throltghout the year we kept in mind the Charity Commi55ioners guldellnes on publlc benefit and acted to provlde our seICe$ at an affordable price for local people living as V do In a geographically ioslated and economically deprived reglon of Wales. Flnanclal Revlew Grants received this year were up slgnlficantly and were used to purch05e solar panels and batteries, which will lead to savings on heat and lightin8 Costs In future years. A grant of £4,840 towards these costs was received after the year end and will show up in next years accounts. Income from rents and fees were very simlar to last year as was bank interest received. Expenditure was generally in line with last year wlth no major variances. Repairs and maintenance expenditure was up but an insurance claim of £1,266 was recelved to offset this extra expense. The Association is showin8 a loss for 2025 but if the outstandin8 8rant was received in time then this would have been a profit of £1,639. Net assets reduced from £47,240 to £44,039. Reserves Poliry The trustees of Rhlgos Community Sport5 Association have considered the reseThes and have the following policy".
