The charity was set up to maintain the upkeep of Rhigos Community Sport5 Hall and provlde
equipment and a venue for the people of Rhigos and nei8hbourin8 villages to pursue sporting and
recreational activities for the benefSt of their health and well being.
Achlevements & Performance
We were granted a new lease from Rhigos RFC running until 13th May 2048. This lease has been
formally lod8ed wlth the Land Re8lStry for Wales.
We secured grants of £19,360 from We15h Sports Associatlon and £4,840 from the Welsh Church
Fund to acquire solar pane15 and batteries, though the Welsh Church Fund grant W05 paid
retrospectively after the year end and will show up in next years accounts. The work was completed
at the year's end and so had no impact in the year but the projected savings are £2,CW per annum.
We lost regular users, the Hockey group, that needed bigger p￿MIseS and replaced thèm with a
Karate 8roup. Hall use fell away as some of the other Junior clubs found new venues.
The sauna was accidentally damaged In the year and repaired with an insurance claim of É1.266.40.
Throltghout the year we kept in mind the Charity Commi55ioners guldellnes on publlc benefit and
acted to provlde our se￿ICe$ at an affordable price for local people living as V￿ do In a
geographically ioslated and economically deprived reglon of Wales.
Flnanclal Revlew
Grants received this year were up slgnlficantly and were used to purch05e solar panels and batteries,
which will lead to savings on heat and lightin8 Costs In future years. A grant of £4,840 towards these
costs was received after the year end and will show up in next years accounts. Income from rents
and fees were very simlar to last year as was bank interest received. Expenditure was generally
in line with last year wlth no major variances. Repairs and maintenance expenditure was up but an
insurance claim of £1,266 was recelved to offset this extra expense. The Association is showin8 a
loss for 2025 but if the outstandin8 8rant was received in time then this would have been a profit of
£1,639. Net assets reduced from £47,240 to £44,039.
Reserves Poliry
The trustees of Rhlgos Community Sport5 Association have considered the reseThes and have
the following policy".
The trustees consider that the level of reserves should be set at a level to ensure that the
