HOLY FAMILY ASSEMBLY TRUSTEES' ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2020

Governance and management

The Charity was registered on the 24[th] of February 2016 as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

The Charity is operated under the rules of its Constitution adopted on the 8[th ] of December 2015.

Objects and Activities of the Charity

The objects of the Church are, for the benefit of the public:-

To advance the Christian faith in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees from time to time may think fit;

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit

The trustees have given due regard to the public benefit guidance as issued by the Charity Commission. Various activities and ministries, such as worship services, prayer meetings, Bible Studies, youth activities and music practice were available during Sundays and other days of the week. The church was severely impacted in its operations by the lack of meeting space we lost our meeting hall. The operations of the ministry were severally hampered by a decrease in attendance and membership.

The Main achievements and Performance during the period

The church faced serious challenges to practicing ministry in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the people including our congregation. The church could not continue meeting in its venue which is a city council community hall in one of the estates of the city of Sheffield. The church therefore could not operate and became dormant during this ministry year.

Financial Review

In the third year of reporting on the charity’s accounts, total unrestricted receipts were zero just like the previous year’s amount of £0.00 because the charity was dormant. The total payments for the same period were £0.00 leaving no surplus at the end of the year.

The Charity's Policy on Reserves

The charity’s reserves policy is that there should be enough funds to pay rent for Sunday worship services for the next 3 months. At the moment, the trustees are putting in place measures to put aside some reserves in the future so as to keep the charity sustainable.

Approved by the trustees on the 16[th] of December 2021 and signed on their behalf by

A. Ngandu
