challenging after the covid pandemic.
The Penkridge Sports and Recreation Centre
Monckton has a significant part to play in the
recovery and the return to wellbeing of individuals
and society.
The committee has been active in getting
adults and children back to playing sport and
meeting socially and safely following covid
regulations.
There have been issues with misuse of the
skate-park.
The sports grounds were a valuable resource that
was used by the asylum seekers that were placed
in the hotel next door. This kept them active and
as content as possible until the fire in one of the
rooms meant they had to be moved.
