Achievements and Performance
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Financial stability once again maintained throughout 2022-2023, despite several issues emerging post Covid. Milkhope had been closed to the public on several occasions due to Covid restrictions throughout 2021 and the after effects of “Storm Arwen” from November 2021 – October 2022. After discussions with Forestry England, lettings resumed at the start of 2023. FE very supportive. Continued improvement in facilities both indoor and outdoor, including ceilings in social area (work continues), fencing work at front of house, outdoor solar PIR lights, new locks fitted, wood store roof re-felted and new UV water treatment system installed. Lots of catch- up jobs also undertaken e.g. wood cutting, grass cutting and painting. Lots of lettings interest and bookings from a variety of local groups already for the 2023-2024 financial year. The Friends of Milkhope would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the charity throughout a challenging year due to circumstances beyond our control. |
